Can there be much buzz left on a day when Bruni starts blogging? To the wires...

1) Keil continues to spin the saga of Del Posto. Turns out that though Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak is not moving in next door, Colicchio plans to open a 'wichcraft branch there. Aha! Cleverly, Tom is staying out of the frey until the dust settles (and, perhaps, a rogue HVAC is removed? We kid. No, really. Sort of.).

2) Speaking of Del Posto, the Cuozz weighs in on the Battle in NoMeat Stadium and declares both sides the loser: "In the culinary ant farm where Chelsea and the Meatpacking District collide, New York's design-mad restaurant scene has finally lost its marbles. Squandering bazillions on architecture with scant regard for common sense, both new joints are overbuilt, over-hyped - and at risk of being just plain over." The slam serves to remind us that Cuozz is the natural-born blogger among the newsprint types. Here's hoping the Post gets him a Blogspot account one of these days.

3) Who says FloFab ain't blogging? Off the Menu kicks the Strongbuzz props for the 71 Clinton closing news. Separately, we're informed that the Momofuku empire is steaming ahead with plans for Momofuku Ssam Bar, a fastfood/takeout Korean wrap joint planned for Second Avenue at 13th Street. Ssnazzy.
