This is Novo, a long, narrow Latin bistro new to Hudson Square. Alex Garcia, formerly of Calle Ocho and a year-long stint under house arrest, is the consulting chef. From his loosely Nuevo menu, the á la plancha setup seems to be the way to go. An extensive sangria menu is in the works, but the place is BYO until they can sort out their liquor license issues. Surely, if you ask nicely, they'll tune in the Olympics on that big screen.
