Blogger The Life Vicarious attended the Times Taste of T Living event last night and reports that Le Cirque toque Pierre Schaedelin was in the house, standing side-by-side with the Maccioni's for most of the night. More to the point, TLV asked Schaedelin to address certain departure rumors:
he...attributed the rumors to kitchen gossip and said that even though he did have a conversation one on one with Sirio about going his own way, talk just got out there. or, er, out here. he said he's there now and didn't say he has a plan for departing but he does envision his own restaurant, a small space with "three or four in the kitchen instead of twenty-five" and a menu of "five appetizers, five entrees" making more rustic french food.So, the gentleman who is rumored to be departing has a fairly specific idea of what type of place he would open if he was leaving. But he's not.
