For those uninitiated, it is understood that if your restaurant has a table at Taste of NY (which took place last night at the Puck Building), then you make certain your head chef is in attendance. This is especially the case if your chef's status at said restaurant is in question and to combat departure rumors you'd instructed your spokeswoman to guarantee the chef's appearance.
As you can see in the photo above, however, Pierre Schaedelin is not at the Le Cirque table. When we inquired as to his whereabouts a somewhat nervous and surely unofficial representative said, "oh, he had to take care of some things at the restaurant tonight." By 'take care of some things' perhaps he meant 'discuss the wording of his departure announcement with Sirio.' Flo Fab, over to you.
