1) Upper West Side: Photo tipster extraordinaire Joe Schumacher kicks down to the Eater Photo Pool this photo of the new Chirping Chicken, opening at the end of the month across from its current UWS location. 2) West Village: More on the Gusto expansion rumor: "Not only is Gusto taking over the space next to them (the sushi place)-- Sasha bought the building (he already owns the one Gusto is in)-- possession Jan 1.-- at which point they will begin expansion into the space." Zowie. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Nolita: Quick confirmation update on a recent Wire item: "Regarding Cain taking over the former Odea space, I can confirm it is definitely Jami Mulholland. Have been told it is going to be Bungalow-esque." Double zowie. [PLYWOOD]

4) East Village: The new Max Brenner chocolate outpost at Second Avenue and 9th, plywood'ed earlier this month, looks set to open next week per these Gothamist pics. [POST-PLYWOOD]
