The appearance of the banner seen above, one story above venerable Prince Street eatery Jerry's, threw Eater HQ into a bit of chaos yesterday. Representative email from the front lines: "i noticed that jerry's restaurant on prince street has a banner sign above it store for rent. that's been there a long, long time (if you watch the movie ghost you can see it several times in the background)." In a year we've already had to endure the departure of the 2nd Avenue Deli, we wondered: this too?
After a few phone calls, this: the banner is advertising a different space, and Jerry's isn't going anywhere. All together now—exhale.
