Regarding Sushi of Gari 46, Masatoshi "Gari" Sugio's third Gari franchise, set to open on West 46th Street:
Tried to go to Sushi of Gari 46 last night, but it was CLOSED by order of the Health Dept. It looks like they were ready to go -- there was a large welcome/congratulations fruit basket still in its cellophane wrapping near the door, but everything was dark except for the super bright Closed signs that were plastered on almost every window.According to the PR officials who now have to clean up this mess, "due to some last minute details, the restaurant’s opening date has been pushed back a few days. They plan to open to the public tomorrow."
