Last month, Eater ran a Plywood report from a Brooklyn reader that read thusly: "I saw a construction permit sign on the window of what used to be Smitty's located on Smith Street. The name on the permit said Po Brooklyn. I assume it is a sister location to the Po on Cornelia Street."
Well-placed Eater sources told us no; the space was to become a dance troupe school and daycare center. And the world was still in balance.
But today, the 718-centric blog A Brooklyn Life runs this report: "Two friends were dining at Po on Cornelia Street and saw a sign in the kitchen saying something about them opening up a Po at 276 Smith Street." Which means this story is, as they say, re-developing.
