EaterWire: Bruni Out of the Country and More!

· As a PSA to newly opened venues and their PR agencies: The Bruni is out of the country for two weeks as of about 9/26/06. (He's in Italy, as we understand it.) This, of course, means you can stand down until 10/11 or so. [EaterWire/Bruniblog]

· Officially: "Parea (pictured) (36 East 20th Street, 212-777-8448), which opened to much acclaim is pleased to announce their Brunch program starting October 1st. Signature items offered are Breakfast Gyro with roasted leg of lamb, tzatziki, and scrambled eggs, Greek Easter Bread French Toast with fresh fruit and honey butter and Baked Egg Saganaki with feta and loukanika sausage." · At Joe: " Starting this Monday, October 2nd, and running throughout the month, all three branches of Joe will donate half the proceeds from the sale of our featured drink—a Raspberry Mocha with Raspberry Whipped Cream (small $3.50; large $4)—to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Gotham Bar & Grill, David Burke at Bloomingdale's, and Amy's Bread are also participating with their own pink menu items; I hope you'll support them as well."
