Marc and Pamela Murphy, whose Landmarc was an instant hit in Tribeca and who are due to open Watermarc, an oyster bar at 29 Bedford*, have inked a deal to open a restaurant at -- do not pretend you saw this coming -- the Time Warner Center. No word on whether they'll take the space that was to be Trotter's, or whether they'll gut the Vegas wasteland formerly known as V Steakhouse, but the smart money would be on the former. Our source on this says the deal was closed last week, so the details are sure to start taking shape in the coming weeks and months. (Flo Fab: What do you know?)
*In related news, although they had planned for the renovation to be minimal, a fire two weeks ago has caused significant delays at Watermarc. We have it on good authority that "hopefully March" is the new opening date.
