Fire in Soho: Lure Submerged

The Saturday night blaze that engulfed the Prada Store building in Soho wreaked havoc on Lure Fishbar, as the above photos by Fabrice Frere (courtesy of Verbose Coma) make clear. The Post fills in some of the unpleasant details:

About 250 people were packed into the recently opened Fishbar, on Mercer and Prince, when the blaze broke out. They all got out safely. Restaurant owners Josh Pickard and John McDonald feared their entire restaurant, made of expensive teak wood, was ruined by the smoke and water, according to eatery manager Tommy Forrest.
Verbose Coma's Hamish Robertson strikes a somewhat more hopeful note: "I think the FDNY had covered most of the Lure interior, thankfully. They'd been having a typical Saturday night—buzzing at near capacity with over 250 people, who were evacuated in seconds. The pictures speak for themselves." Indeed—click through for more.
