Eater Inside: Mo Pitkin's House of Satisfaction

[By Eater photog Noah Kalina]

Its Avenue A address and Swiss Army Knife approach to hospitality -- the cuisine is parts Latin, Judeo, and 'Brasserie'; the former fabric warehouse/brothel houses a dining room, 2 bar rooms and a small live performance space -- may keep it from being seen in the company of the city's heaviest hitters. But, Mo's has quite a bit going for it, not the least of which is Chef Chris Randell's immensely satisfying fried Mac and Cheese. It begins, says the chef with pride, with a pile of Velveeta.

The upstairs bar/private dining room, our favorite space in the building, is pictured above.
