On the Path of Fat

For those who love Otto's lardo pizza comes this weeks Village Voice cover story, a Sietsema (natch!) paean to the return of unabashedly fatty foods to the menus of New York. Alas, the piece, as it turns out, is really an ode to eggs and fish tacos, which is all well and good—but, we fear, about 32 days behind the times. (Hey, anyone heard of this place, La Esqina?) Still, the sentiment is a good one, even if we're awaiting the New York restaurateur with the cojones to accompany foie gras with a giant, dripping hunk of lard, Budapest-style.
