Sortie

In the West 50s, new and shiny venues are everywhere. For the most part, though, they are eateries. The manageable lounge is a far rarer breed in these parts.

Readers, meet Sortie, the collaboration of Eric Macaire (of the long-lasting Bubble Lounge) and "DJ-sommelier" Juan Coronado. (DJ-sommelier: part of a five year program at Scratch?) With newness brings crowd quality doubts, however with a garden in back and a selection of 30 artisinal beers in the 'fridge, it's certainly worth a shot.
