Last week, it was a sad exterior of the former Maria Elena on West 13th Street. Today, we're?thanks to the lens of photoblogger WhatISee?lingering outside the former Il Forno. Reports WhatISee, "It was a year ago that Il Forno closed on the Upper West Side. The owner said it was due to a higher rent that he couldn't afford. Almost a year later, they haven't replaced the tenant and the doorstop is usually occupied by a homeless person asking for change. I'm not sure this is what the landlord had in mind."
