A plywood update, courtesy of an alert Eater reader. The sleek space at 166 Orchard, detailed in this morning's report, is chef Matthew Kenney's new Lower East Side vegetarian restaurant, Orchard. As he told FloFab last month after splitting from Pure Food and Wine with some of the staff, "It will be vegetarian, not raw, more like what some chefs in France are doing with organic vegetables." We smell a soft-open by month's end.

The sleek space at 162 Orchard, detailed in this morning's report, is a new Ital brought to you by the mad geniuses behind Peasant and Apizz. At 191 Orchard will be chef Matthew Kenney's new Lower East Side vegetarian restaurant, Heirloom.
