Dish Weekend Edition: The Place, Aspen

2005_11_aspen.jpg1) The Place on West 10th (above), which was pre-plywood a mere 7 weeks ago, is open for business. The food is loosely Mediterranean and the atmosphere in the late 1800s carraige house is relaxed and local; and the duck confit strudel is delish. Brunch service starts in December. DailyCandy has the word today. The print media will have this one next week.

2) Aspen (right), which last week got a ton of just-opened buzz actually opens tonight.
