Food Section Buzzwrap: Ramsay Starts It Up

1) Celebuchef Gordon Ramsay, respected in London before his bizarre Fox TV reality show failed to turn "shut it down" into a bona fide cultural catchphrase, is coming to New York. Following summertime rumors, Strong reports that Ramsay plans to open his first official U.S. restaurant at the Rihga Royal Hotel, reopening in Fall 2006 as The London NYC. Reads the official website PR: “At The London NYC/LA, Ramsay restaurants will take cues from their successful London counterparts—the legacy of the Gordon Ramsay flagship at Claridge's, the variety of his more casual Maze and Boxwood Café, the intimacy of his coveted Chef's Tables—accented with a distinct American vitality."
