1) West Village: Old school Italian-American restaurant Trattoria Toscana on Carmine Street appears to have closed. The restaurant wasn't open earlier this week and there has been no response to phone calls. Owner, Franco Fazzuoli once owned Il Ponte Vecchio, Zinno, and Cent'Anni.
2) Morningside Heights: Beloved dive bar the Ding Dong Lounge just south of Columbia will shutter on July 31. "The Ding has lost its lease. Victim to landlord greed, avarice, and douchebaggery," DJ Linda Rizzo tells Jeremiah's Vanishing New York. Last year, the Village Voice dubbed it the Best Cheap Manhattan Dive. [JVNY]

3) SoHo: After 21 years at the corner of Broadway and Spring Street, Cafe Bari closed after dinner last Saturday night, reports EV Grieve. It's rumored that the a Niketown might take over the space. [EVG]
4) FiDi: After 70 years in business the Roxy Luncheonette, a small counter place, has closed. In the last year or two the spot came under new owners who changed the name to Roxy's East West Diner, according to Jeremiah's Vanishing New York. The ongoing construction on John Street took a toll on the space. [JVNY]
