Cafe Blossom on Columbus Avenue will close its doors for good next Monday, May 12. The owners of the seven-year-old vegan restaurant announced its impending closure last week on Facebook. The message notes that they're shuttering "due to building management issues beyond our control." West Side Rag hears that the rent was doubled. The owners operate similar Blossom restaurants in Chelsea and the West Village, as well as a cafe called V-Note on the Upper East Side. In the farewell note, the owners also explain that they're "exploring vacancies in the neighborhood."
