Next month, Rosemary's restaurateur Carlos Suarez and his old college buddy Mark Barak will open a new Provençal-influenced restaurant called Claudette at 24 Fifth Ave. This is the space that previously housed Cru and Lotus of Siam.
Koren Grieveson, a James Beard award winner who worked at Avec in Chciago, is the chef de cuisine, and Rosemary's chef Wade Moises is also working on the food here. According to the Robs, the chefs will "hop the Mediterranean to look for inspiration in North Africa and the Middle East." Suarez also owns and operates Bobo on West 10th Street, so this will be his third restaurant in the neighborhood.
