For the last seven years, Gavin Kaysen has worked as the executive chef at Cafe Boulud, one of the finest restaurants in the Boulud Empire. Boulud puts some of his most promising young chefs in this kitchen, so they can learn from Kaysen. And now, Andrew Zimmern floats the
UPDATE: In a statement, Daniel Boulud confirms Kaysen's departure. Cafe Boulud's current chef de cuisine, Aaron Bludorn, will take over the executive chef position.
Bludorn has worked for the Dinex Group for the last six years. He started at Cafe Boulud as the chef de partie and worked his way up through the ranks. Boulud also confirms that Kaysen will be opening his own restaurant in Minneapolis. From DBiggity's announcement:

Gavin and I have planned a very smooth transition for a while and we have appointed Aaron Bludorn, Chef de Cuisine at Café Boulud to Executive Chef to replace Gavin after his departure.
