The new outpost of the members-only Soho House on the Lower East Side had been on the agenda for next month's Community Board 3 meeting as of yesterday, but not anymore. The item has been scratched from the agenda as of this morning. The guess here is that Soho House reps were caught off guard by the agenda going live and have pulled the item to do additional "outreach" to the community board and Ludlow Street community. The new branch will be built in a 110-year-old building that had been a funeral home and the home of Kleen-Stik Industries (read more about the building here). You can bet that the project will be back on the agenda in the next few months.
