The nightlife wizards at EMM Group opened their new Lower East Side Asian restaurant, The General, last night. The menu from Hung Huynh features sushi, noodles, rice dishes, and simply-prepared proteins, plus entrees like crispy beef and miso-glazed sea bass. And if that doesn't float your boat, The General also serves Chinese chicken tacos and Reuben spring rolls. If you look closely, you'll see that each table features those dish stands that EMM introduced at Catch — this has been copied by many other places. It's actually very useful when sharing food in large groups.
The General is connected two other EMM proprieties: Finale and Bow, both of which are nightclubs. If the downtown party people didn't bum rush this place last night, they certainly will this weekend. Take a look at the menu:
