The apostrophe-loving guys behind Dell'Anima and L'Artusi launch their newest venture, L'Apicio, at 5:30 tonight. The Italian-inspired menu by Gabe Thompson features a selection of amped-up pastas like sweetbreads ravioli, pappardelle with short rib ragu, and spicy tomato spaghetti, plus a smaller selection of fish, meat, and polenta dishes. (Also look for the meatballs, recently declared the best in New York, at least according to the NYCWFF.) Joe Campanale's wine list has around 250 bottles broken up by style (that is, crisp, bold, etc), with a focus on wines under $100.
L'Apicio is open for dinner nightly, closing at 11 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and at midnight Thursday to Sunday. Brunch is coming soon.
