1) Park Slope: Here's Park Slope reports the very sad news that Timboo's, a bar and restaurant that has been open on 5th Avenue and 11th Street in Brooklyn for 42 years, has closed. The owners of Abilene Bar on Court Street are taking over the space and will reopen it as Skylark Bar. They promise to "incorporate some of Timboo's charm where we can." [HPS]
2) West Village: Fork in the Road is sad but not surprised to note that Little Havana on Cornelia Street, has shuttered, writing, "The quality of the food had gone downhill, and the small storefront had to face competition from flashier restaurants like the Pearl Oyster Bar and newcomer Wong."
