Ludlow Manor, the multi story bar and tapas restaurant that opened without being fully licensed for the multiple stories, has had its liquor license confiscated by the State Liquor Authority. A witness at the hearing tells Steve Lewis that the SLA inquired why Ludlow Manor hadn't been serving food as their license required. Operating partner Georgie Seville and his attorney tried to blame the entire thing on ConEd for failing to turn on their gas, and explained to the SLA that they had been serving peanut butter and jelly and turkey sandwiches to guests in order to be compliant, although we haven't been able to find anyone who actually ordered a sandwich.
The SLA also wanted to know why the upper floors were open when they clearly did not have permission to operate more than a ground floor restaurant, and Seville had no answer for them. The board decided to confiscate the one liquor license the bar and restaurant did have until the gas is turned on and another hearing is held, meaning all of Luc Carl's guests with the sexy ass hair will have to find somewhere else to go. Libation can go back to wearing the crown as the Worst Bar in the LES.
