Want to operate a hot dog stand or an ice cream shop inside of one of New York's most famous restaurant spaces? Great, because the Parks Department is now accepting proposals for the casual, jogger-friendly restaurant and outdoor cafe planned for the Tavern on the Green building in Central Park. In a press release, Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe notes:
We look forward to proposals for the creation of a casual restaurant and outdoor café that everyday park goers, neighbors and visitors can enjoy. This is a unique opportunity for a concessionaire to establish a fresh take on an eatery in an iconic location, and create a destination [that] will attract and delight all park patrons.Download the full RFP on the NYC Parks & Recreation site. Proposals must be submitted by March 30.
