Given the problems renegade, two star Long Island City diner M. Wells faced with city and state agencies before its untimely shutter, how ironic would it be for it to reopen right next to the Department of Health headquarters? It may just happen. In a Post piece about the revival of Long Island City, a broker reports that he's been showing M. Wells owners Sarah Obraitis and Hugue Dufour buildings in the Court Square/Queensboro Plaza area, right in the environs of the shiny, new DOH home in 2 Gotham Center. Maybe the spooks from the agency will be more forgiving of their own lunch spot.
