The cheese snob epicenter of the West Village is about to get a little big bigger. A rep confirms that the original location of Murray's Cheese on Bleecker Street, the cheese store that spawned a Grand Central Terminal store and a deal with the Kroger supermarket chain, will grow into the space next door, taking the space of the recently shuttered Lobster Place. There are no details on how and when this will happen or what they'll do there, but it's nice that another independent and home grown business is taking over. The owner of Lobster Place, which has another location in the Chelsea Market, blamed high rent and mismanged expectations with the landlord for the shutter.
