1) Upper West Side: Longtime Hell's Kitchen staple Island Burgers & Shakes, with its famous burgers and chicken sandwiches, is opening up a second location on Amsterdam, between 80th and 81st. It's two doors down from Luke's Lobster, too. [PLYWOOD]
2) Upper West Side: Right down the street, Hummus Kitchen is at work on a fourth location, at the corner of 80th and Amsterdam. [PLYWOOD]
3) East Village: EV Grieve spots more of the continuing IHOP invasion - plywood on E. 14th, between 2nd and 3rd. [PLYWOOD]
4) Midtown East: Midtown Lunch reports on the new 44th. St (b/w Lex. and 3rd) location of wildly popular Chicago chain Potbelly Sandwich Shop, scheduled to open tomorrow. [POST-PLYWOOD]
5) West Village: Fork in the Road notes the signage up at Seamus Mullen's new northern-Spain-inspired restaurant Tertulia. It'll have lots of seafood, and "simple preparations". There's a wood-fired grill, too. [POST-PLYWOOD]
6) Greenwich Village: Fork in the Road also points out a couple more new locations: there's a "Greek taverna" under construction on University Pl. and 11th. [PLYWOOD]
