Back in July, Community Board 3 nixed East Village restaurateur Frank Prisinzano's plans to open an Italian nose-to-tail fast food restaurant at the Graceland Deli space, and it seems like he's gone back to the drawing board. On Monday Prisinzano, who also owns Supper, Frank, and Lil' Frankies, will make his case for Sauce, a new Italian spot in the old Bun & Co./Kampuchea space. The restaurant will have 29 tables and a bar and hopes to be open from 8 AM - 4 AM seven days a week. One imagines the hours will be a sticking point with CB3, but let's hope they give him a pass. Having such a large space sit empty, not to mention having two restaurants close there in under a year, is not a great look for that corner.
