If you've been clamoring to have a night on the town at an old fashioned supper club that isn't one of those Long Island old people supper clubs, then you're in luck. The Darby, Scott Sartiano, Richie Akiva and chef Alex Guarnaschelli's new project has picked up the pace of its preview nights, and according to project designer and completely unbiased reporter Steve Lewis, things couldn't be going any better. Lewis thinks that the "Darby is a dining experience breakthrough", and that it "caters to a crowd that has grown up seeing it all and wanting something new, and yet mature." So what does the Darby crowd want to see? Apparently, impromptu performances by Glee actress Charice Pempengco, who decided to jump on stage this past weekend and belt out a few numbers for luminaries like Ryan Seacrest. Glee and Seacrest in the same night? Now that's what we call panty dropping!
