Balaboosta, the sweet little new restaurant from the owners of falafel and hummus joint Taim, opened to the public on Saturday and already has some fast fans. The homey space features a long communal set up, a smallish bar, and a handful of tables around the room with a kitchen that looks directly out on the street. On the menu, chef Einat Admony serves up slightly more ambitious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fare like bouillabaisse with crab Dumpling, lamb two ways, and smoked eggplant. They're closed for Passover tonight and tomorrow for an inspection but plan to open again on Wednesday night at 5:30.
