Over a year ago, reps at New York institution 2nd Avenue Deli confirmed they had plans to expand to the Upper East Side. However, the space they were taking over, The Wicked Wolf, didn't close its doors to make way for the expansion until this August. Now that the space is free and clear, Upper East Siders report the deli has made its first moves: plywood is now up around the restaurant, and a peek inside reveals the gutting has begun! Pastrami for the Upper East Side in 2010!
