Tribeca: The Post reports that Prince of Tribeca David Bouley's landlord at 111 West Broadway is suing him for $1.3 million in back rent. The building in question is the one he originally leased back in October 2007 for his multi-story restaurant and cooking school Brushstroke, now planned for the old Danube/Secession space. In addition to the $23k a month in back rent, Bouley allegedly owes the landlord over $600k in work done to the space to ready it for the new project.
Meanwhile, a little ways uptown, an employee suit against Japonais was approved to go forward on Tuesday. 10 employees are alleging that the restaurant illegally gave portions of the tip pool to managers and other salaried individuals.
