Yesterday afternoon, Columbia Pictures held an event for film and food bloggers in Chelsea for the upcoming August premiere of Julie & Julia. Based on two true stories, the film cuts between Julia Child's time spent in France at the beginning of her culinary career and writer Julie Powell's 2002 blog and subsequent book about her attempts to cook the 524 recipes in Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking within a year. More importantly, it features cameos from Amanda Hesser, Corby Kummer, and (OMG) Frank the Bombshell Bruni. Watch out for them.
