UPPER EAST SIDE— Though we're still waiting on the final details, pr reps confirm that Cafe Boulud will be going through a major renovation and expansion this summer. Tipsters have reported that the restaurant will be closed for a month, so a smart guess is that they'll do the overhaul after their new wine deal expires on August 15. Rumor has it that in addition to renos to the physical space, there will be a massive menu overhaul as well. Perhaps it will have the same effect last year's revamp had on Daniel. [EaterWire]
MIDTOWN— The brokers have finally gotten around to holding an open house for the Grayz/Atria location on West 54th. Anyone in the market for a space that may very well be cursed should meet the good folks from Newmark Knight Frank Retail there next Tuesday from 1 - 3 or Wednesday from 2 - 4. This may also be a good open house for those in the market for a scrollatrope on the cheap. [EaterWire]
CHARITY— Daniel Humm and Joe Bastianich aren't the only marathon runners in the restaurant world. Dell'Anima's Joe Campanale is running in this November's New York Marathon on behalf of Hole in the Wall Camps. He's trying to raise money for the charity with this run, so stop by his page to help him out. [Team Hole in the Wall]
WEST VILLAGE— Here's a group that's not concerned about their restaurant/bar going out of business. All but one of the partners of Employees Only have gotten the name of the restaurant tattooed on their bodies. [Fork in the Road]
