And now, the latest East End eating news from our colleagues at Curbed Hamptons...

1) Amagansett (by way of the Upper East Side) newcomer Mezzaluna AMG looks to be this year's whipping boy for delayed openings. Staffers on the UES told Curbed Hamptons staffers this week that another couple weeks likely are needed until opening. August, such a beautiful month.

2) Another restaurant that'll have a hard time opening this weekend: Southampton's Madam Tong's, seized this week for nonpayment of taxes. Embattled owner Ed "Jean Luc" Kleefield promises to reopen, stat. We'll see about that.

3) GimmickWatch: Townline BBQ (top), Sagaponack's ode to Texas cuisine, has added Saturday morning rugby to its menu. Doors open 9am, and admission is—jeez—$20.

3) Isn't it a little early in the season for Jerry Della Femina to have already completely lost his mind? On reflection: of course not.
