Back in February Myriad Restaurant Group's Vietnamese star Mai House cut down its hours to three days a week. In mid-April, they closed down for the duration of the Tribeca Film Festival. And then last night, we happened by and found the place totally dark. Their answering machine currently notes that the restaurant will be closed "for the next several days," not specifying dates, and a hostess last night at Tribeca Grill next door had no idea when it would reopen or why they were closed. We'll be keeping an eye out to see what the Nieporents do with the space, but any leads, send them this way.
