Midtown: Lower Avenue B wasn't the only area to suffer a fire yesterday. A midtown correspondent high up in the Sony building told us late yesterday afternoon that black smoke was billowing from the vicinity of West 55th. And today we discover one of the sad victims of the fire is the sweet two story French restaurant La Bonne Soupe, which will reopen after extensive renovations.
