What we have here is Pranna, a huge—no, massive—15,000 square foot restaurant/lounge/bar that just opened on Madison and 28th. Get ready: it has two dining rooms, two bars, counter seating at an open kitchen, and a basement lounge with a giant communal table. It is a force to be reckoned with this place, and you can bet they're hoping to rake it in with a large cocktail program ($12 specialty cocktails, natch) and all that dedicated lounge space.

As for the food, the chef here is Sapa alum Chai Trivedi, and the menu is inspired by his six-month motorcycle tour of Southeast Asia. More info and menus here and here.
