OMFG. Finally. The Porkchop Express gets the confirmation on earlier reports that the Red Hook Ballfields vendors will be opening up shop in the coming weeks:

"The Red Hook Food Vendors are set to start operations Saturday, July 19. Tacos next weekend... spread the good word. For those interested, the delay was 'compliance' related. But it sounds like all the trucks are ready to pass inspection. If the date changes for any reason we'll let you know."

They're opening about two months later (a major delay in for a seasonal operation) that they hoped, but that's what happens when the city bureaucracy gets involved. The good news is, now that the Ikea shuttle is in full operation, we'll all have an easier commute to the area.
