Seen separately last night at Scott Conant's three-day-old new Meatpacking District Ital: An impressively svelte Joe Bastianich, a corner-tabled Ruth Reichl, The Full Hanson, and Cizzutty, who was in very good spirits after he, and this is true, stole a piece of beef off a plate headed our way. More importantly, spoiler alert, if reviewed tomorrow the restaurant would get 2-3 from Platt, 3-4 from the RG, 11 from Randall Lane, and a very enthusiastic 2 from Brunisimo. Most importantly, when lunch fires up, among the offerings will be the spectacular soft shell and avocado sandwich that was a showpiece at Conant's short-lived Sag Harbor restaurant, Tutto il Giorno, this per the chef himself.
