We will reopen Spring [word blacked-out] 2008'. So, what was under the blacked-out portion of the sign? Closer inspection revealed the word 'summer,' as in, 'We will reopen spring/summer 2008'..when a bar suddenly closes for renovations and leaves open the possibility that it may remain "under construction" indefinitely, usually it's not because business was booming." WEST VILLAGE— There's some speculation out there that the Socialista Hep-A scare may have been a hoax all for Ashton Kutcher's new show, Pop Fiction. The Health Dept puts and end to all that nonsense: "An official at the city's Department of Health tells Radar that they did indeed visit Socialista after being called by the club to investigate the hep-A scare... 'I can assure you that someone did have hepatitis, and that he was working the bar the night of Kutcher's party. You can't fake hepatitis-A.'" [Radar]
