In a somewhat buried Metro piece in yesterday's New York Times we find out Jim Mamary, owner of restaurants in well heeled Brooklyn neighborhoods including Williamsburg (Sweetwater) and Carroll Gardens (Gowanus Yacht Club), is opening Pomme De Terre a new French bistro in Ditmas Park. Someone has already been shot outside the plywooded space, but quoth the Times: "Mr. Mamary just shrugged it off, as he shrugged off the graffiti that has forced him to paint over the outside of the restaurant three times and counting."
