The spaces back in early plywood stages in August '07

Some new intel came over the wire last night about progress of the two restaurants opening at 10 Downing Street. If you recall, an outpost of Yann de Rochefort's Boqueria was rumored to be taking 10 Downing South, facing Da Silvano; Yann de's intentions are now confirmed. The restaurant 10 Downing, linked to Jason Neroni (and Katy Sparks), opening on the northern, more auspicious, side of the building, is now shooting to open in March. Seems it's high time that the building 10 Downing let its residents in on their plans. Let's go straight to the video tape:

I live in 10 downing, a note was dropped under my door this weekend. Here is the summery:
* Two restaurants are opening: Boqueria and 10 Downing Resturant
* 10 Downing Opens in March in the space on the corner of downing and 6th (formally a STA travel)
* Both are applying to get a liquer license even though 10 downing has a beer and wine license already.
* The building tenants are freaking out about the cafe space on the sidewalk and drinks. They want to fight it.

Sounds like it should be a fun community board meeting. And if Neroni makes an appearance, it could be quite a show.
UPDATE: Cutlets got word from Yann de Rochefort that Boqueria actually pulled out of the space last week, because the landlord decided to go with another tenant.
