WILLIAMSBURG—Very exciting news for anyone who loves a good breakfast sandwich: Egg has changed their hours and will be staying open much, much later (until recently, the place served from 7am to noon during the week). A tipster writes, "Sparky's has moved out of their 135 N 5th St location in Williamsburg; it's now all Egg, all the time. Egg's now serving breakfast till 3 and has added a lunch menu. Contemplating dinner, initially a couple of nights per week. Was there Sunday, country ham biscuit was just as wonderful as ever. Place has been repainted, looks great. Sparky's is apparently concentrating on their other location, in Manhattan at 333 Lafayette St, just north of Houston." A welcome change for those who could never crawl out of bed early enough to try the place. [EaterWire Inbox]
WEST VILLAGE—We've heard nary a peep about about Centro Vinoteca, the Anne Burrell-led Italian restaurant currently plywooded at 74 Seventh Avenue, for eons. Now, a reader has a promising-sounding update: "This isn't exactly intel, but I live across the street and it's looking very soon-to-open. The sign out front is visible, which seems to bode well. I hear there will be wifi, outdoor tables, and it'll be open from 7:30 am until 2 am, cannot wait! Hard news on the opening would be appreciated by all of us locals..." Sounds like Morandi, located only five blocks south north, might be in for some competition. [EaterWire Inbox]
