Eater stopped by on a recent afternoon to check out the progress being made on the unnamed restaurant from the Sushi Nakazawa team which plans to offer a $125 tasting menu that is fish, but not sushi focused. A chef on the scene, who asked to remain anonymous, said the restaurant will be opening very soon, but a look inside the restaurant revealed no signs of construction. The interior was very dark, but we could make out an interior staircase leading down to what will probably be the restaurant's downstairs bar and an otherwise empty room with a cleared off countertop. No dust, no tools, and nobody working. So, it remains to be seen whether an opening date is imminent.
