Chef Zoe Feigenbaum shuttered her Eldridge Street restaurant, Zoe, on Sunday, after three years in business. Feigenbaum earned some acclaim for her new American restaurant, but the Lo-Down reports that the business has struggled in recent months. She tells Grub Street, "Not all restaurants are iconic and get to stick around for ten or fifteen years." But even as this restaurant closes, Feigenbaum says she is already planning her next project. And for the rest of the summer she'll still offer catering from the Zoe. Zoe's neighbor, Family Recipe, also announced its closure earlier this week.
